Returning to work

Dear teacherstress.co.uk

I am a secondary school teacher returning to work after 9 month's absence caused by stress injury. I have negotiated conditions for a "therapeutic" return to work. I will just prepare and teach 9 lessons a week - no meetings, no form group, no duties, no responsibilities. It sounds very easy, but I really don't know how well I will cope.

Week 1 - including stress symptoms, disorientation, and guilt feelings.

Week 2 - including sources of pressure and problems with memory and perception.

Week 3 - including stress symptoms, stress counselling and occupational schemes.

Week 4 - including increasing frequency of symptoms.

Week 5 - the final week.
